I've been following Baba's journey since her diagnosis, as in this regard my life parallels yours. We had our cat for nearly 21 years, nursing him for 2 years through the downward spiral of renal failure. We laid Buster to rest on January 31. What a brilliant idea to chronicle your routine with Baba! I did not do that ahead of time, but plan to do it today before I forget anything. Thank you. I am looking forward to an afternoon connecting with our boy.

LOVE the idea of Baba parkouring about the place! And Covid hit - eugh. My taste & smell went about two weeks before I got it and returned about a month after I was testing negative again. Feel better, my love, Cx 💚

I have been visiting my mom-in-law and the highlight is the cat. Baby is only 2 so she is curious and feisty 😈 She doesn’t seem out cuddling but I manage to get in a quick one. She loves my yoga mat and walks and plays around during my practice. It’s been a treat. Enjoy every moment you have with her. 😘

I am so glad Baba is still with you. My eldest cat, Pearl, transitioned quite quickly from a cancer the second Sunday of this year. She was my love bunny and I miss her dearly. We had a nightly snuggle ritual: she was a spooner all her life and we spent her last night here with her alternately laying on my chest or in the crook of my arm. Yes, cherish every bit. Great photos, BTW.

Such a beautiful read. I'm so glad you have this time. This is an ode to the present moment. By the way, my Tiger too takes up the whole bed at night!

Wonderful post! My cats somehow know when I'm under the weather and get extra snuggly. It's SUCH a comfort. I'm so glad you're having time with Baba and I hope you feel better soon

I think they have a strong inner sense for their humans emotions. My cat gets cuddly when I have migraines. She simply knows when something is off. Must be their intuition, they're attuned to the universe

Our furry nurses are such a loving, warming presence whether we are sick, well, or just blah. They make everything better. So glad Baba is doing well and you are on the mend.

Wish I’d known that when I had COVID! Susannah thanks for giving us a peek into how your morning starts with Baba. Those fur babies crack open our hearts and just snuggle in. So precious. Glad you’re on the mend, continue to take it easy lovely x

To regain a sense of taste & smell, try strong lavender tea. 1 tsp of lavender per mug, covered and steeped for 2 minutes. Drink twice a day for 7 to 10 days.

I’ve had great feedback from this simple remedy. 💜Of course, sipping whilst cuddling a cat is the guarantee of success.

I love morning kitty routines- mine are all ruled by the cats as well. Love seeing this one step by step. What a gorgeous snuggler she is.
