Please don't let your age be a barrier to your writing. I am almost 66 and I think we can all learn from each other. I have learned so much from my first week reading substack.
Love this, Susannah, it's like a numbered stream of consciousness which is what, I'm betting, all our minds are like it's just that we're not telling anyone! So thank you for telling, maybe I will too x
One of the best lists I've ever read online. You think it might take you in a straight line, but then think again - a beautifully circuitous circle! And also a map of my mind? For someone who struggles to untangle the knots in my head and get it into some coherent form, this might be a new method to "unblock the stream" as you say - thanks Susannah :)
Hi Susannah, loved this list ! So relatable.. and as always, I appreciate your honest & beautiful writings .. I’ve been reading you for awhile ..time certainly flies.. yet your writings are timeless.. I turned 59 today and I can relate .. I took the week off from work to do “nothing”.. well at least today . Yesterday my Mom turned 85, and the day was about her! 🥰. But today I feel certain peacefulness and hopefulness that I haven’t feel in a long time .. a joy in just “being “ , I guess I’m getting ready for next phase in my life. Today also happens to be March 8th .. and I think I know what anniversary you referenced. I Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you .. and wishing you a sense of peacefulness that I am feeling right now .. Love to you, Donna
Thank you for this. This is exactly what I needed to read this afternoon. Makes me feel less alone to hear your voice inside my head when I read this. <3
I'm younger than you and can relate. I just started my Substack and feel like I should just stop because I have nothing to share. Glad to know I'm not alone. 💝

Having the same thoughts about writing these days. Thanks for sharing 🤍

Thank you so much Donna, yes, you are right ❤️ also -- "a joy in just being" is beautiful and perfect xx
I see myself in your words. Thank you!
When you think all the shit has been sifted and tidied it can feel like a void inside, but the void is actually a doorway leading inward. -- so true.

As a 31 year old who follows your writing, you are most definitely not invisible to me! You've inspired me for years :)
So glad you're here, love!

I absolutely loved this! Almost laughed out loud while eating my lunch. Thank you! ❤️
This is so relatable. Lists are my go to when I'm stuck. Seriously, some of my journals are entirely lists and were some of the most therapeutic.
